Urban Intersections at W Osaka
The W Osaka Hotel, an official OAD partner, serves as a hub for design-forward experiences. Within the hotel’s art-infused interiors, the site-specific installation ‘AUTONOMA’ by studio xorium offers a unique perspective on a ‘controlled world.’ Running until June 23, the installation features a continuous stream of delicate bubbles symbolizing individual human entities. These bubbles interact, merge, and drift, illustrating humanity’s potential to navigate and thrive in an ever-changing environment.

Visitors can experience large-scale alphabet forms crafted from materials like wood, concrete, and metal, with an open-air installation of logo-themed building block benches extending the exhibition beyond the gallery walls.
Meanwhile, the Hankyu Umeda Main Store is home to Yuichiro Hirako’s ‘NON NATURE’ exhibition, open until June 22. Hirako has transformed the main entrance into a monochrome canvas of hand drawings. Inside, a wooden sculpture installation in the atrium complements his playful characters and reimagined nature motifs, rendered in a vibrant design language that reflects Osaka’s cultural spirit.
