The Vale, Silverstone’s latest and most exclusive hospitality venue, has set a new benchmark for the Formula 1 experience, merging high-end dining, art, and privileged trackside views with a bold architectural vision. Launched in conjunction with the record-breaking 2026 British Grand Prix, which saw 564,000 fans attend, The Vale aims to transcend the traditional role of hospitality spaces, where the environment often takes a backseat to the racing action.

Designed by architecture studio Flux Nexus, led by founder and director Levi Jack Sibthorpe, The Vale is strategically positioned beside the paddock entrance, offering panoramic vistas of the pit entry and the challenging final corner sequence at Silverstone. Sibthorpe described the site as offering a dual theatre: a serene outlook towards the inner circuit lakeside at the rear, and complete immersion in the race’s intensity from the front.

Innovative Structure for Speed

The project presented a significant construction challenge, requiring completion in a matter of weeks rather than months. This constraint led Flux Nexus to deviate from their typical preference for masonry and heavy timber, opting instead for an 8m-tall cross-braced aluminium space frame. A standout architectural feature is the 10m overhanging cantilever roof, designed to place guests directly above the heart of the racing action, providing an unparalleled sense of proximity to the speed.

A Tiered Luxury Experience

The Vale spans two levels, each offering distinct experiences. The ground floor houses ‘La Bombe by Trivet,’ a restaurant by Jonny Lake and the team behind the two-Michelin-starred Trivet in London. Upstairs, guests can enjoy a second tasting menu experience, a dedicated music lounge, a bar, and a terrace that positions them elevated above the circuit. Sibthorpe’s brief was to create a “brand-new race experience destination” and establish the ultimate luxury tier at Silverstone, emphasizing a “human touch in every detail.” This philosophy extends from the selection of furniture pieces to the graphic design of guest lanyards.

Culinary Excellence on Track

Food is a central element of The Vale’s offering. ‘La Bombe by Trivet’ serves an array of sophisticated dishes, including sea bass crudo with orange ponzu and crispy quinoa, trofie alla Liguria with Jersey Royals, and halibut ‘picchio-pacchio’. Upstairs, a more dynamic menu evolves throughout the day, from breakfast pastries and Estate Dairy yoghurt to Alpine burrata, lobster rolls with caviar, miso halibut yakitori, and Colchester crab throughout the weekend.

Beyond Dining and Racing

Beyond its primary function as a viewing platform and dining destination, The Vale incorporates over 100 individual furniture pieces, 35 art installations, and features work from furniture house Mainguilty. The building itself includes cabinets, art corridors, and tunnels integrated into its structure, aiming to break the mould of temporary event structures. Silverstone promotes The Vale as an ultra-premium, limited-capacity experience, offering VIP arrival options such as chauffeur transfers and helicopter access, alongside exclusive after-hours music and entertainment.
