Rerucha Studio has completed “Joyful Aerie,” a distinctive 3,800-square-foot residence in Kirkland, Washington. The home was designed for the architect’s brother and his wife, who envisioned a modern dwelling infused with elements of her Thai heritage, seamlessly integrated with a contemporary Pacific Northwest sensibility.

The design draws inspiration from traditional Thai houses, incorporating elements such as warm-toned wood, layered screens, and a strong connection to nature.
